Take a flight back in time with us for a historic flight experience in the American Airpower Museum’s Legendary WWII Douglas C-47 “Skytrain” Troop Transport. Our C-47 is still authentically configured inside and out as they were in 1944 when used to drop U.S Army, and British Airborne Paratroopers on their historic D-Day missions on June 5th, 1944 followed just months later once again for Operation Market Garden in September of 1944. The scenic ride program includes arrival, briefing, and a scenic flight around the local Owls Head/Rockland area. The scenic flight experience is approximately 15-20 minutes in duration in the air. The whole program from check in to flight completion is approximately 1hr in duration.
