Celebrate 4th of July Weekend at the American Airpower Museum

Calling all Red, White and Blue Cake Lovers!  Enter the American Airpower Museum’s “Fourth of July Cake Contest” for a chance to win a delicious July 4th gourmet cake sponsored by Stew Leonard’s of Farmingdale!   Starting on Friday, June 30, 2023, all AAM paying guests who visit the museum will encounter a decorated table in front of our docent desk, and on this table, they’ll find a giant Red, White and Blue decorated cake, replete with pens and flags.  Museum guests will each be given a small flag and in honor of a family member, or friend who is serving or has served in the United States Military or as a first responder will add it to our 4th of July Cake Display!  Our docents will have an entrance sheet to take down participants names, contact information for when the winner is announced.  AAM guests can continue entering the contest through Sunday, July 2nd, to honor America’s birthday and the sacrifices of their loved ones who served our great nation.  A photograph of our “cake” with all the flags will be posted on Social Media July 4th, since AAM will be closed giving all our volunteers a chance to celebrate the holiday with their families.

All Patriotic Long Islanders can enter our “Fourth of July Cake Contest” with admission to the museum. There are no pre-purchased tickets or pre-registration needed.

Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and veterans, $10 for children ages 5-12, free for age 4 and under.  Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday at AAM, Hangar 3, 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
