     Volunteers are the backbone of the American Airpower Museum! Serving as a museum volunteer is a rewarding opportunity to help preserve our aviation and military history and help “Keep ‘em Flying for generations to come! As a volunteer you will have an important part in making every guest’s visit a special and unique experience at the American Airpower Museum. We are looking for Volunteers who live within 2.0hrs travel distance and can dedicate an avg. of 8-10 hours a month depending their volunteer role. There are there are many different opportunities available, all volunteer roles are in person but some remote opportunities may be available on a case by case basis. 

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Docent / Tour Guide
  • Flight Line Operations
  • Aircrew support for airshows both on site, and on the road
  • Aircraft Maintenance & Restoration
  • Vehicle Operations and Maintenance
  • Administrative and Facility Operations
  • Historians / Museum Display Curation
  • Media – Photography / Video
  • Computer / IT
  • Special Event / Air Show Volunteers
