Come fly with us for a memorable and historic scenic flight with us aboard the American Airpower Museum’s Legendary WWII Douglas C-47 “Skytrain” Troop Transport maintained and authentically configured inside and out as it would have been in 1944 when used to drop U.S Army, and British Airborne Paratroopers on their historic D-Day missions in June of 1944. C-47s would also elevate their fame during the airborne Operation known as “Market Garden” in September of 1944. The scenic ride program includes arrival, briefing, and a scenic flight around the local Long Island North and South Shore air traffic permitting. This scenic ride program is a flight that runs about 15-25 minuted in duration in the local north and south shore areas of Long Island. The whole program is approximately 1hr in duration.
