Pearl Harbor Anniversary to be observed at the American Airpower Museum
LI Air Force Association to pay solemn tribute to the sacrifices of that Day of Infamy

The devastating attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 by “naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan” will be recalled by the Long Island chapter of the Air Force Association at the American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport, 1230 New Highway, Farmingdale, on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m.

What: The anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor that devastated the American battle fleet and brought the United States into World War II will be observed at the American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport.

Who: Pearl Harbor survivors, Navy reservists who will sound a ship’s bell to mark the hour of the attack, clergy to bless roses that will be dropped by vintage aircraft over the Statue of Liberty to honor those who died.

When: Monday, December 7th at 10:30 a.m.
