Remembering VJ Day when World War II came to an end in the Pacific, the American Airpower Museum will launch its fighter aircraft on the weekend of August 5th and 6th flying in formation over Pinelawn National Cemetery in salute of those who lie there. Visitors to the museum will see the flight line filled with pre launch activity and fighters overhead as they offer their tribute.

Labour Day: Collings Bombers on Final
Labor Day weekend (August 31st through Sept 3rd) sees Stop & Shops' Flight of Aces program return with the Collings Foundation's B-17 and B-24 making their annual appearance. Submit an essay about you, or your family, experiences in the military or defense industry and Stop & Shop may select you to be "crew member" on one of those bombers, flying courtesy of the supermarket company that honors our veterans. September: D-Day Flight Experience Program
Award winning and publicly acclaimed C-47/ D-Day Flight experience program is being offered in mid September (flight date to be determined). Many families offer flight experience memberships as early anniversary, birthday and holiday gifts to their very own history buff. Tax deductible, the donation puts you in period uniform with airborne living historians to find out what it must have been like to fly over Normandy on D-Day. For more detailes
